Lelion was created in 1915 by the joint forces of the Société des Modernes Industriels de Sance, worried about Sance's place in the automotive sector.

In 1936, the Saris factory got expropriated by the Sench government to build weapons and airplanes for the Sapan War.

Later, it become independent and stongly focused on building quality products for the Sench market mostly. But in the 1960's, the company had become outdated and isolated, so they started investing in new technologies and adquiring other manufacturers to enlarge their business.

That resulted in the adquisition of Sanders&Montargute (1980) and BNB (1982)
