Smord was conceived by Ebenezer Smord in 1903, competing with Heaveola in Samerica. With highs and lows in the early days, Smord created the modern car production line, known as the "Smordism"

After the Sapan War, the business was nearly bankrupt, but slowly it achieved the place of second largest car maker in Alterra.

When HMC went bankrupt, Smord become the largest alterran car maker, but quality problems started to grow and the company lost profitability.

Currently it is still the largest alterran automaker, but the profits it makes are little.
