Model Name: 546 Mk.1
Chassis type: Minivan
The 546 is a panel van produced by the simoviet automaker Smoogo Autos since 1968.
Made to replace the old 545, the 546 became one of the successful vans in simmunist countries,
and it is exported with a good success. It has been produced through three generations,
although the design of the body remains virtually unchanged since the first generation, produced from 1968 to 1973.
The second generation made its debut in 1974, and it was discontinued in 1984.
Then, the third generation debuted in 1985 and it's still into production, receiving constant updates to the mechanics
and the comfort. The 546 Mk.1 adopted the SMED 2.0 5-cyl two strokes engine,
that was abandoned after its discontinuation, replaced by a 2.5 6-cyl two strokes engine,
together with the introduction of a diesel version with the new "D" trim level, on the second gen of the van,
and currently, the engines of the Mk.2 546 are still mounted on the Mk.3, though they've been completely revised.
For a short time, from 1976 to 1980, a rebadged variant of the 546 Mk.2 was produced at the former HMC plant in Paraìso,
Riberia, as the "Lambda Forza". It is the only Smoogo that never adopted a Duroplast body during the "golden era".
