The 732 was the first and last attempt by the simoviet automaker Smoogo Automotives Incorporated to make an executive car.
It made its debut at the 1987 TSA, and it was the first car from Simoviet Union that had a lot of technical innovations,
such as a Nixie tube electric clock into the dashboard, air conditioning system, power windows,
disc brakes on all four wheels and power steering, although the chassis of the car was made in Duroplast and some parts
were shared with the NovAZ 478, in order to reduce costs; it was also the first Smoogo that adopted again RWD
since the discontinuation of the P.A. 8, in 1949. The 732 was the great attempt by Smoogo to make a car that could
compete against luxury automakers such as Montgomery or the west serman Cermeydes Sense.
Since it proved to be a reliable car, it was given also to the Simoviet and East Serman "Militsia" (Simmunist Police),
and it's still used as a taxi cab in these countries. It was available in two trim levels: the cheap "STD",
fitted with a 2.0 six cylinders engine, and the "XTD", fitted with a 4.0 v8 engine, the SMED-x87, developed together with NovAZ.
It was made also a rally version, called "SMED 733". Though it was a good car, with a good engine and quality,
the 732 didn't have a great success, and it sold very few in its five years of life.
It was discontinued in 1992, without being replaced.
