Model Name: Amazon 1.1 HLS MK2
Chassis type: Hatchback
The Amazon was a subcompact hatchback produced by the senglish automaker Dover Engineering Stillhon from 1976 to 1984,
produced through two generations.
Developed one year after the Smoogo 720 was put on the market,
the Dover Amazon was one of the rivals of the simoviet hatchback. Indeed, the Stillhon automaker, in order to make this car,
they've been directly inspired by the 720: it featured a plastic chassis, like its simoviet rival,
and its engine was a simple 1.1 three cylinders, that gave a good fuel economy to the car,
and its suspensions were the trademark "Liquoplasm" used on Dovers.
Aimed at a youthful target, the Amazon had a good success,
although without reaching completely the high sellings of the market-leader 720.
The second generation, that made its debut in 1980, featured a lot of improvements than the previous one,
such as the bodywork that now was made of metal instead of plastic, and the mechanics were improved and revised.
The styling of the Amazon mk2 was a sort of an anticipation of its successor, the Dover Marin.
It has been discontinued in 1984.
